Berwick St John holds its biennial Country Fayre in September two weeks following the Dorset Steam Fair. The Fayre is run by several Directors and a dedicated team of Committee members, with the entire local community getting involved.

The 2012 Fayre will be organised in aid of The Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal.

Exhibitors arrive on the Friday with music and the bar opening in the evening. Saturday and Sunday the show takes hold, steam engines, vintage tractors, lorries, cars, and bikes. A military vehicle display, fair ground rides, produce and tea tent as well as trade stands.

The Fayre is a working show with tractors and steam engines from all over the country and Europe. New for 2012 is a Flower Tent run by Stewart Pocock of Pocock Roses. www.garden-roses.co.uk

Entry is free but it is hoped that everyone supports the chosen charity which in 2012 will be the more than deserving Salisbury District Hospital Star’s Appeal, by purchasing raffle tickets on their way in.
