Code and Conduct of the Fayre
All exhibitors/traders are invited and expected to attend the Safety Briefing Meeting on Saturday 19th September at 9:30am at the Beer Tent.
• I declare that during the whole period of the Berwick St John Country Fayre, my entry will be covered by Public Liability Insurance, which includes show use, and where necessary by a Boiler Explosion Policy, having a limit of indemnity of not less than £5,000,000.
• I further declare that in case of any event taking place wholly or partly on the Public Highway, that the vehicles hereby entered are covered by insurance as requested by the Road Traffic Act 1988, which is valid for such part of this event which will take place on such roads defined in that Act.
• I further declare that I will produce the necessary Hygiene Certificates, Food Hygiene Rating and that all electrical equipment is PAT tested. A HACCP assessment must also be produced by the business for inspection before participating in the Berwick St John Country Fayre.
• I confirm that if cooking I will supply my own fire extinguisher/fire blanket.
• The driver of vehicles must hold a licence to drive a vehicle of the appropriate class.
• All passengers travelling in machinery must be seated on a fixed seat.
• In default of the above undertakings, exhibitors agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organisers of the Berwick St John Country Fayre Ltd. from any claim for any accidental damage or personal injury what so ever, caused by any exhibit entered, driver or crew whilst taking part in the show or journey to and from the show.
• Exhibitors are expected to remain on the show site with their exhibits for the duration of the show. Should an exhibitor be unable to remain on site, a nominated contact must be identified to the section co-ordinator
• I understand and agree to comply and follow ALL safety rules.
• I agree to follow Stewards and Section Leaders requests and instructions.
• I adhere to the NO MOVEMENT on site between 10am and 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday
• No alcohol is to be consumed whilst driving or operating machinery.
• Only alcohol purchased on site may be consumed within the entertainment area of the show ground.
• I agree to place all litter in the receptacles provided.
• If you see something you think is not right, is unsafe or dangerous report it to the Safety Officer, Section Leader or Admin IMMEDIATELY.
• I agree to treat those around me, the land we are fortunate enough to be upon and the local community with respect and consideration at all times.
• Arrival at the Showground, exhibitors will be allowed to access the show site from 10am on FRIDAY 18th SEPTEMBER. Passes must be shown. You will be placed in the holding area if there are any issues on your arrival until your Section Leader, Chairman or Secretary can resolve the issue. On arrival at your section please report to your Section Leader who will show you where to set up and to camp.
